The Nice and Accurate Thoughts of Ben Eubank (re: comics)

Hello! Only four issues for me this week, but each one was great!

Mind the Gap – This month reveals to us that not only can Elle enter other bodies… she can also enter dreams and influence people. She begins to remember more things and make sense out of the world she’s in while her body is in a coma. Meanwhile, in the physical world, we see things going on with the people surrounding her… and I can tell things are falling into place… but there still isn’t really any resolution. And you know what? I’m ok with that. This book, with its intricate and evolving storyline, paired with the fantastic art, is really becoming one of my favorites. I highly suggest picking this up if you come across it! 5/5

Earth Two – Grundy continues to rise and destroy life trying to get the Green Lantern’s attention in this month’s issue. Hawkgirl and Flash travel to find the cause of destruction but end up meeting the Atom… a super-powered person working for the World Army. As much as I like this series so far, I’m anxious for a solid threat to form that will cause everyone to work together. 3/5

Harvest – The first issue of this new series was pretty solid. The art was like a mix of Morning Glories and Green Wake, which I liked. The story follows a surgeon who has lost everything… his job, career, and reputation. But, his reputation as a surgeon brings him to the attention of someone in the human organ black market. I’d like to see if this book will have the same type of character-building as Thief of Thieves. I guess we’ll find out next month! 4/5

Red Lanterns – The Red Lanterns are finally back! Abysmus and Atrocitus battle and some things are revealed that have far-reaching implications. I am really excited to see where things go from this issue now that we know certain forces are orchestrating things across the various corps. I also really want to see what’s going to happen with Atrocitus, Bleez and the human Red Lantern since the civil war within the corps doesn’t feel completely resolved. 4/5
